The Role Of Insurance Companies

Today I’d like to talk with you about insurance adjusters.

Now I’m going to warn you ahead of time.  This one might turn into one of my rants.

I need to start off by saying I loathe insurance companies.   I get annoyed by catchy jingles such as “Like a good neighbor” or “We’re on your side” or “Only pay for what you need.”

Really?

Where?

Here is the truth: I’ve never witnessed an insurance adjuster being a good neighbor or standing by an injured party’s side.  In fact, I’ve witnessed quite the opposite more times than I care to count.

Here’s more truth.

Insurance companies are “for profit” companies. They only stay in business by remaining profitable, and they remain profitable by denying as many claims as they possibly can and by making insultingly low ball offers anytime they are forced to admit their insured was at fault.

An insurance adjuster is an agent of an insurance company. Their role is to investigate the auto collision and evaluate your claim to determine if and how much you should be paid for your injuries and losses.   If they can deny your claim for any possible reason, please believe me folks, they will.
