News: 35-year-old woman killed in rear-end collision near Frederick

FREDERICK, MD – A woman from Thurmont was killed this morning when her vehicle crashed into the rear of a pickup truck that was pulling a trailer on Route 26.

According to KDVM, 35-year-old Erika Michelle Torrey’s Kia Soul rear-ended the trailer near Old Annapolis Road at about 10:14 a.m.

Torrey was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. It is unclear if the driver of the pickup was injured.

Investigators are working to establish an official cause of the crash at this time.
