FAUQUIER COUNTY, VA – A Germantown man died last weekend after his vehicle crashed head-on with another car, The Daily Voice reports.

A man was driving a 2021 Jeep Wrangler on Route 17 when the vehicle swerved over the median and struck a 2017 Dodge Ram. The accident happened north of I-66 and about 6:51 p.m. Friday, according to Virginia State Police.

The impact killed the Jeep driver, a 43-year-old from Germantown, at the site of the crash.

Emergency personnel transported the Dodge driver to a hospital for treatment. He is reportedly in stable condition.

The Virginia State Police are investigating.
