MANASSAS, VA – A driver was hospitalized this morning after their commercial vehicle collided with a fire truck, Inside Nova reports.

A fire truck was traveling south on Prince William Parkway when it was hit by a FedEx truck. Emergency responders arrived at the scene at around 10 a.m. Wednesday.

The FedEx driver had to be extricated from the vehicle and transported to a local medical center for treatment. It’s unclear if he’s in stable condition.

Authorities closed down Prince William Parkway between the intersection with Balls Ford Road and I-66.

We will continue to monitor this developing story as investigators look into the circumstances of the accident.
