PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, MD – One man was killed this morning after his vehicle crashed on the side of the road, according to WTOP News.

A man was traveling on Kenilworth Avenue when his vehicle swerved off of the roadway and crashed into a barrier. The accident happened in the 2100 block of the road, according to Prince George’s County police.

Emergency personnel was dispatched to the scene shortly after 5:15 a.m. Monday.

Baltimore-Washington Parkway experienced heavy traffic delays due to road closures on Kenilworth Avenue. The road remained closed for over six hours today.

The identity of the driver has yet to be released. We will monitor this story as the Prince George’s County Police Department investigates.
