FROSTBURG, MD – Emergency responders were called to the scene of a fatal crash that killed a 15-year-old on Sunday, Cumberland Times-News reports.
A passenger was riding in a GMC Yukon heading eastbound on I-68 when the crash occurred. Police report that the vehicle crashed into a guardrail and flipped over, ejecting the passenger.
EMS arrived at the scene near mile marker 38, at about 4 a.m. Sunday. They pronounced the passenger, a 15-year-old girl, deceased at the scene of the crash.
Authorities reported that alcohol does not appear to be involved in the accident. The Maryland State Police Department is currently handling the investigation.
