WOODBRIDGE, VA – Police are investigating the death of a man who was hit by a car early this morning, WTOP News reports.

A driver was traveling north on U.S. Route 1 when his vehicle struck a man in the turning lane near Cardinal Drive.

Prince William County police responded to the wreck at about 3 a.m. Tuesday. The man was pronounced deceased at the crash site. Authorities believe that the pedestrian might have been laying on the ground prior to the accident.
