News: Child struck and injured outside elementary school

ALEXANDRIA, VA – A child suffered serious injuries after they were struck by a vehicle outside an elementary school Tuesday.

According to ALXNow, the collision occurred outside of Jefferson Houston Elementary School around 3:30 PM on March 29th.

The underage pedestrian suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries. They have been hospitalized and their current condition is unknown.

The driver remained at the scene.

The Alexandria Police Department continues to investigate the collision.
