News: Crash and vehicle fire reported on I-495

SPRINGDALE, MD – There are reports of a crash and a vehicle that caught fire on I-495 southbound Thursday morning.

According to WTOP, the crash took place on I-495 southbound at John Hanson Highway around 10:00 AM on March 31st.

At this time, the cause of the crash remains unknown.

It is unclear if anyone involved in the accident suffered injuries.

The right side of I-495 remains blocked off as first responders clear the scene.
