ALEXANDRIA, VA – One person died after a single-vehicle accident on I-395 in Alexandria early Sunday morning.
According to WTOP, the fatal crash took place on I-395 northbound near King Street around 1:40 AM on May 1st.
The driver of a Chevy Impala lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a barrier wall.
The driver suffered serious injuries and died shortly after arriving at the hospital. They have been identified as 30-year-old Tiffany Pittman.
The passenger suffered no injuries.
Police continue to investigate the crash to determine if alcohol and excessive speed played a role in the accident.
