News: One killed after single-vehicle crash in Glen Burnie

GLEN BURNIE, MD – One person died after they lost control of their pickup truck just after midnight on Saturday in Glen Burnie.

According to the Daily Voice, the fatal crash took place on West Nursery Road near River Road around 12:10 AM on May 14th. 

The driver of the pickup truck reportedly lost control of the vehicle while navigating a curve in the road. The pickup truck subsequently exited the roadway and crashed head-on into a utility pole. 

The Anne Arundel County fire and rescue crew were able to free the driver from the crashed pickup truck. Unfortunately, the driver died shortly after arriving at R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center.

The victim has been identified as Kurt Ignatius Johnson.

Authorities continue to investigate the fatal accident.
