BAILEY’S CROSSROADS, VA – One person died and two others suffered injuries after a two-vehicle hit-and-run crash Tuesday morning. 

According to WTOP, the fatal accident took place on George Mason Drive near Skyline Plaza around 2:00 AM on May 24th.

A Honda Accord reportedly crashed into a Volkswagen Jetta as it was turning into Skyline Plaza. The driver and passenger in the Honda Accord then fled the scene on foot.

A passenger in the Jetta unfortunately died. The victim has yet to be identified. 

The driver of the Jetta also suffered injuries. They have been hospitalized, but their current condition is unknown.

Authorities apprehended the driver of the Accord. They have also been hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. 

The crash remains under investigation.
