News: Freight train slams into tractor-trailer in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, VA – A tractor-trailer was knocked over when it was hit by a freight train in Springfield on Thursday.

According to FFX Now, the train was traveling at a low speed when it hit the truck at the intersection of Iron Place and Industrial Drive at about 1 p.m.

The impact caused the truck to tip over onto its side, blocking the tracks. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
