News: One killed in wrong-way crash on I-495

LARGO, MD – One person was killed in a wrong-way crash on I-495 in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

According to FOX 5, the fatal accident took place on I-495 northbound near Central Avenue around 3:30 AM on June 8th.

A Lincoln Navigator was reportedly traveling southbound in the northbound lanes and crashed head-on into a Buick SUV. One of the vehicles caught fire on impact. 

The driver of the Buick SUV sadly died at the scene. Their identity is unknown at this time.

Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the fatal collision.
