News: Multi-vehicle crash is Gaithersburg shuts down I-270

GAITHERSBURG, MD – A multi-vehicle crash with possible injuries shut down all lanes of I-270 in Gaithersburg early Friday morning.

According to WTOP, the crash took place on I-270 northbound just past Shady Grove Road around 3:00 AM on August 5th.

At this time, the circumstances of the crash remain unclear. Authorities have yet to release the total number and severity of injuries.

All lanes of I-270 have been shut down in the area of the crash. Tow trucks were requested to clear the scene.

Montgomery County Police continue to investigate the multi-vehicle accident.
