News: One dead, one injured from New Market crash

FREDERICK COUNTY, MD – A 62-year-old woman’s life was claimed after she collided with a Ford Escape in New Market Sunday. 

The collision happened before 7:30 am on I-70, The Baltimore Sun reported. 

The 62-year-old woman was identified as Margaret Maraga Yonge. 

For reasons unknown, Yonge changed lanes and crashed into the Ford Escape. Yonge succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.  

The driver of the Ford Escape, 61-year-old Guanghao Zheng, was taken to a hospital for unspecified injuries. 

The crash is under investigation.
