CALVERTON, MD – A man was killed and another individual was hospitalized following a multi-vehicle crash near Calverton on Monday morning.
According to WUSA, the crash happened at about 7:17 a.m. in the 1600 block of Randolph Road, near the intersection with Laurie Drive.
Investigators say the driver of a gray 2009 Mazda 5 minivan was heading east on Randolph Rd. when his vehicle drifted into the oncoming lanes and collided with a 2015 Toyota Highlander.
The Mazda’s driver, 41-year-old Edwin Enrique Mejia Dubon, was rushed to a local hospital, where he died a short time later. The other driver involved was also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
