SPRINGDALE, MD – A woman was fatally injured after her vehicle crashed and caught fire on Sunday, according to ABC 7 News.
A woman was driving west on Martin Luther King Jr. Highway when she lost control of her car. The vehicle swerved off of the road, struck a tree, then burst into flames.
The accident occurred at the highway’s intersection with Whitfield Chapel Road.
Officers with the Prince George’s County Police Department were called to the wreck at about 7:05 p.m.
Emergency personnel pronounced the woman deceased at the site of the crash. She was the only occupant of the vehicle. Her identity has not yet been released.
