ALEXANDRIA, VA – A young child was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle in Alexandria on Wednesday.

According to a report by 7 News, a 2002 Honda Civic slid on ice while backing out of a parking spot in the 6800 block of Madge Lane and struck the child who was walking behind it.

The 3-year-old victim was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

No charges have been filed against the driver of the Honda at this time.
