BOTETOURT COUNTY, VA – Police are investigating a car wreck that killed one pedestrian and injured another, according to WSLS 10 News.
A car was driving down Route 220 when it struck two pedestrians on an exit ramp. The accident took place at about 2 a.m. Wednesday, on the ramp towards I-81.
Emergency responders transported one pedestrian to an area hospital for treatment. The other pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the site of the crash. His identity has not yet been released.
The vehicle’s driver did not sustain any injuries.
The Virginia State Police Department is currently looking into the cause of the accident.
