CLARKSBURG, MD – A bicyclist was seriously injured over the weekend after he rear-ended a truck, according to My MC Media.
A man was riding a bicycle northbound on Frederick Road when he crashed into a tractor-trailer. The accident happened shortly before 4:27 p.m. Friday, according to the Montgomery County Police Department.
Medics arrived at the scene near the intersection of Frederick Road and Stringtown Road. The bicyclist was transported to an area medical center for life-threatening injuries. It’s unclear if he is expected to recover.
The driver of the tractor-trailer did not sustain any injuries in the accident.
The Collision Reconstruction Unit with the MCPD is currently investigating the crash.
