MONTGOMERY VILLAGE, MD – A seven-year-old girl was hit by a car on the 18600 block of Walkers Choice Road in Montgomery Village Tuesday. 

The driver, a woman in her 40s, failed to stop for the school bus’ red flashing lights indicated on the bus stop sign, according to WJLA. As a result, she went around the bus and struck the girl. 

The girl was transported to a hospital for serious injuries. 

The driver remained at the scene and may face charges.
