News: Emergency responders called to crash at I-495 in Silver Spring

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD – Traffic delays linger after a crash occurred on I-495 in Silver Spring around 6:15 pm Friday. 

The collision can be seen after US-29 and Colesville Road, WTOP Traffic tweeted. The crash is blocking the center of the road. 

Emergency responders have not indicated a time estimate as to how long it will take the crash to be cleared. 

Drivers approaching the area may want to consider alternative routes. 

It is unclear how many vehicles were involved and what initially led to the collision. Details are preliminary. More information to follow when it becomes available.
