WASHINGTON, DC – Five people suffered injuries after a police chase ended in a three-vehicle crash in Southeast DC Sunday morning.
According to WUSA, the crash occurred at the intersection of Alabama Avenue and Stanton Road SE around 8:15 AM on August 7th.
Three vehicles were involved in the crash including a blue sedan, a police cruiser, and a Circulator bus.
The blue sedan was reportedly carjacked from a shopping center in Oxon Hill on Saturday August 6th. Prince George’s County Police attempted to pull the vehicle over on St. Barnabas Road around 8:00 AM and the sedan fled, resulting in a police chase.
The four juveniles in the sedan suffered non-life threatening injuries as a result of the crash. All four were hospitalized and taken into custody.
The bus driver was also hospitalized with minor injuries. Their current condition is unknown.
Metro Police and Prince George’s County Police continue to investigate the accident.
