PERRY HALL, MD – Authorities closed down Belair Road to investigate a fatal crash involving two cars this morning, according to Patch.

A woman attempted to turn on Belair Road when her 1997 Lincoln Town Car was struck head-on by a 1995 Toyota Camry. The accident occurred at about 7 a.m. Wednesday, near the road’s intersection with Penn Avenue.

The Lincoln’s driver was pronounced dead after the crash. Emergency personnel transported the Toyota’s driver to a nearby medical center for treatment. She sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Traffic between Joppa Road and Pine Hill Avenue was completely blocked for five hours after the wreck.

We will continue to follow this story as the Crash Team with the Baltimore County Police Department investigates.
