HYATTSTOWN, MD – A jackknifed tractor trailer caused major delays for commuters on I-270 near Hyattstown this morning.

According to NBC Washington, the crash took place at about 2 a.m. in the southbound lanes of the interstate near the exit to Old Hundred Road.

It is unclear at this time if any injuries were sustained as a result of the wreck. However, both southbound lanes were shut down for several hours while crews worked to clear the scene.

Troopers believe slick road conditions may be to blame for the collision.
