News: Juvenile pedestrian struck and injured in hit-and-run in Southeast DC

WASHINGTON, DC – An underage pedestrian was struck and injured by a vehicle in a hit-and-run Monday evening.

According to ABC 7, the hit-and-run collision occurred in the 1800 block of Mississippi Avenue SE around 7:00 PM on July 25th.

The driver of the vehicle involved reportedly fled the scene on foot.

The juvenile pedestrian suffered non-life threatening injuries and has been hospitalized. 

Metro Police continue to search for the driver. The collision remains under investigation.
