CABIN JOHN, MD – There were significant delays in traffic this morning after multiple vehicles crashed on I-495, according to WUSA 9.
Several vehicles including a dump truck and a tractor-trailer were traveling on I-495 southbound when they all collided. The accident happened near Exit 41 towards Clara Belton Parkway. Authorities reported the crash at about 4:20 a.m. Tuesday.
The scene of the accident was nearly a mile long between Maryland Route and I-270. The area surrounding the crash site was shut down until 9 a.m. today.
No injuries have been reported at this time. We will be following this story for more details about the cause of the wreck.
