News: Left lane on I-295 South closes following crash in Washington, D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A crash was reported on the left lane of I-295 South along Benning Road Monday morning. 

The collision occurred before 5:45 a.m., according to DC Police Traffic. The left lane was closed for several hours and has reopened. 

It is unclear what led to Monday’s crash, how many vehicles were involved, and if anyone was hurt. Our newsroom will look out for updates and issue them when they become available.
