RICHMOND, VA – Authorities are looking into the cause of a fatal wreck involving a vehicle fire, according to NBC 12.

A man was traveling east on Walmsley Boulevard when his sedan lost control and crashed into a fire hydrant on the side of the road. The wreck caused the vehicle to catch fire, according to the Richmond Police Department.

Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene in the 3400 block of the road and pronounced the driver deceased. He was a 41-year-old from North Chesterfield.
