HOWARD COUNTY, MD – A driver from Silver Spring was killed after his car crashed on the side of a highway, The Daily Voice reports.
A man was driving south on Route 29 when his 2002 Toyota Avalon swerved from the road, crashed into a barrier, and flipped.
The wreck happened at about 5:05 p.m. Thursday, according to the Howard County Police Department.
The Toyota driver, a 27-year-old from Silver Spring, was transported to Howard County General Hospital. He was pronounced deceased soon after.
Route 29 was shut down for several hours in the southbound lanes near Route 216.
Howard County police are currently looking into the circumstances of the crash.
