SEVERN, MD – A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with another vehicle in Severn Tuesday evening.

According to Bay Net, the fatal crash took place at the intersection of Telegraph Road and Buckingham Place around 8:30 PM on August 9th.

An Acura sedan was reportedly attempting to turn left at the intersection and failed to stop at a flashing red signal. A Kawasaki motorcycle had a flashing yellow signal and attempted to proceed straight through the intersection where it collided with the Acura.

The motorcyclist was taken to a local trauma center where they were later pronounced dead. Officials identified the victim as 20-year-old Lucas Giovanni Ross.

The driver of the Acura was uninjured.

Anne Arundel County Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the fatal accident.
