LEONARDTOWN, MD – A man was killed yesterday after his vehicle was involved in a large accident, according to the Southern Maryland Chronicle.
A man was traveling a 2010 Toyota Rav4 northbound on St. Andrew’s Church Road when he struck a 1998 Nissan Altima driving in the opposite direction. The collision caused damage to a 2017 Toyota Camry.
The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office was on the scene of the accident at about 8 a.m. Thursday, near Fairgrounds Road.
The Nissan driver, a 56-year-old from Lexington Park, was pronounced dead at an area hospital. The two other drivers did not consent to receive treatment at the site of the accident.
The investigation is being handled by the St. Mary’s County Sherriff’s Office Collision Reconstruction Unit.
