WASHINGTON, DC – Emergency responders took a woman to the hospital after a car drove into a building in Chinatown last night, according to ABC 7.

Two vehicles collided at the intersection of 9th Street and K Street NW  The impact caused one of the vehicles to veer into a nearby building.

It’s unclear which driver was hospitalized, but there were reports of a woman being transported to a hospital. Authorities stated she sustained severe injuries.

Local crews determined the building only received surface-level damage in the wreck.

The cause of the accident is currently unknown.
