SILVER SPRING, MD – A motorcyclist died and a police officer suffered injuries after a two-vehicle collision on MD-200 Thursday evening.
According to FOX 5, the fatal crash occurred on MD-200 between Georgia Avenue and Shady Grove Metro Access Road around 7:00 PM on July 14th.
A motorcycle reportedly crashed into a Montgomery County police vehicle while traveling at high speed down MD-200. The motorcyclist was ejected from their vehicle in the crash.
The unidentified motorcyclist sadly succumbed to their injuries at the scene. The police officer suffered non-life threatening injuries and has been hospitalized.
The Collision Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate the fatal crash.
