WASHINGTON, DC – One person suffered injuries after a car crashed into the Watergate building Friday afternoon.
According to WUSA, the single-vehicle crash occurred at the Watergate complex in the 2600 block of Virginia Avenue around 2:00 PM on July 22nd.
DC Fire and EMS responded to the crash and evaluated two people for injuries at the scene. The driver of the vehicle refused further treatment while a second person was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
At this time, it is unclear what caused the driver to crash into the building.
Metro Police continue to investigate the accident.
