FREDERICK, MD – One person died after a single-vehicle crash left their car submerged in a pond Tuesday evening.
According to FOX 5, the fatal accident occurred behind a CVS on Rotary Avenue around 8:45 PM on May 31st.
At this time, the cause of the accident remains unclear. The vehicle involved crashed into a retaining pond behind the parking lot of the CVS.
The driver was rescued and taken to Frederick Health Hospital where they unfortunately died. Authorities have identified the victim as 76-year-old Ki Ho Lam.
The crash remains under investigation, but no foul play is suspected.
