News: One killed after two-vehicle collision in Gaithersburg

GAITHERSBURG, MD – One person died after a two-vehicle collision in Gaithersburg Wednesday afternoon.

According to ABC 7, the fatal accident occurred at the intersection of River Road and Stony Creek Road around 2:00 PM on July 13th.

A white 2019 Ford F-550 was reportedly traveling westbound on River Road when a silver 2021 Toyota Camry attempted to turn left onto River Road from Stony Creek Road. The two vehicles subsequently collided head-on.

The driver of the Toyota Camry unfortunately died at the scene. Police identified the victim as 79-year-old Sam Mingsan Chen.

The crash remains under investigation by the Montgomery County Police.
