News: One killed in head-on collision after driver flees traffic stop

LARGO, MD – One person died after a head-on collision caused by a driver fleeing a traffic stop Wednesday morning.

According to WTOP, the fatal accident took place at the intersection of Pookey Way and White House Road around 6:30 AM on June 8th.

Prince George’s County police reportedly attempted to pull two vehicles over for a traffic violation. The two vehicles immediately fled the scene. One of the vehicles then crossed over the centerline and collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle that was struck suffered critical injuries and unfortunately died at the hospital Wednesday morning. 

Authorities have yet to release the identities of the victim or the driver responsible for the crash.
