News: One killed in head-on crash in Fauquier County

FAUQUIER CO., VA – One person died after a head-on collision in the Delaplane area in the early hours of Thursday morning.

According to Inside Nova, the fatal accident took place on Winchester Road just south of Pleasant Vale Road around 1:20 AM on June 9th.

The driver of a 2007 Toyota Yaris reportedly lost control of the vehicle and crossed over the centerline of Winchester Road. The Toyota Yaris subsequently crashed head-on into an oncoming 2004 Kenworth tractor trailer.

The driver of the Toyota unfortunately died at the scene. The victim has been identified as 32-year-old Jared M. Dent.

The driver of the tractor trailer suffered no injuries.

Authorities continue to investigate the fatal collision.
