News: One killed in motorcycle accident in Triangle

TRIANGLE, VA – One person died after a motorcycle accident in Triangle Saturday afternoon.

According to WRIC, the fatal crash took place on Joplin Road around 1:30 PM on August 13th.

The motorcyclist reportedly crossed over the centerline after they were unable to navigate a sharp turn. They then exited the roadway and crashed into a tree. 

The motorcyclist was taken to a nearby hospital where they were unfortunately pronounced dead. Officials have identified the victim as 56-year-old Brooke Shambeck.

Prince William County Police continue to investigate the accident.
