LINTHICUM, MD – A driver died after a two-vehicle accident on an I-695 exit ramp in Linthicum Monday afternoon.
According to CBS News, the fatal accident took place at the I-695 exit ramp to North Hammonds Ferry Road around 1:00 PM on July 25th.
The driver of a Hyundai Elantra was traveling down the exit ramp when the vehicle jumped a median and ran through a red light. The Hyundai then collided with a Mercedes SUV in the intersection.
The driver of the Hyundai, identified as 90-year-old Earl Cleaveland Phillips, unfortunately died at the scene.
The driver of the Mercedes was uninjured.
Anne Arundel County Police continue to investigate the fatal accident.
