PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, MD – A man was pronounced dead this morning after an accident that blocked several lanes of traffic, ABC 7 News reports.
The victim was driving on MD-295 at about 6:32 a.m. when his car collided with at least one other vehicle.
Local responders arrived in the northbound lanes near Powder Mill Road, according to U.S. Park Police. They pronounced the man deceased at the scene of the accident.
Another driver was transported to a trauma center for serious injuries. He is reportedly in critical condition.
The lanes heading north were shut down until 12 p.m. today as EMS were working at the crash site. We will continue to monitor this story as police investigate the cause of the wreck.
