ARNOLD, MD – One person died and another suffered injuries after a collision between a motorcycle and a car Thursday afternoon.

According to WBFF, the fatal accident took place on Ritchie Highway near Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard around 4:30 PM on May 19th.

A Kawasaki motorcycle was reportedly traveling southbound on Ritchie Highway when a Toyota Camry attempted to turn left and struck the motorcycle. The motorcyclist was ejected from their vehicle on impact.

The motorcyclist unfortunately died at the scene. They have been identified as 31-year-old Shane Rider. 

A passenger in the Toyota Camry, 55-year-old Gary Gene Bishop, suffered non-life threatening injuries. 

Authorities continue to investigate the fatal accident.
