SILVER SPRING, MD – One person died and another suffered serious injuries after a three-vehicle accident Sunday night.
According to WUSA, the accident occurred at the intersection of New Hampshire Avenue and Lockwood Drive around 9:00 PM on July 24th.
A van and a car reportedly collided in the intersection. The impact of the crash then caused one of the vehicles to strike a Metrobus.
The driver of the van unfortunately died at the scene. Authorities have yet to identify the victim.
The driver of the car suffered injuries and has been hospitalized. Their identity and condition remain unknown.
No one on the Metrobus suffered any serious injuries. However, the driver of the bus was also taken to the hospital out of caution.
Montgomery County Police continue to investigate the fatal accident.
