ASPEN HILL, MD – One person has died and another suffered serious injuries after a two-vehicle crash Wednesday morning.

According to Bethesda Magazine, the fatal accident took place at the intersection of Georgia Avenue and Hewitt Avenue around 10:00 AM on March 23rd.

A 2011 Audi Q5 was traveling northbound on Georgia Avenue when it crashed into a 2015 Mercedes GLK35 that was turning left. The Audi subsequently exited the roadway and collided with a utility pole.

The driver of the Audi, 31-year-old Chad Edward Anthony Richards, was taken to Suburban Hospital with critical injuries. He unfortunately died on Thursday.

The driver of the Mercedes suffered serious injuries and was also taken to Suburban Hospital. Their identity and condition remain unknown.
