News: One killed, one seriously injured in head-on collision in Suitland

SUITLAND, MD – One person died and another suffered serious injuries after a head-on collision in Suitland early Thursday morning.

According to WUSA, the fatal accident took place in the 3500 block of Regency Parkway around 1:30 AM on July 7th.

The two vehicles were traveling in opposite directions when one crossed over the center line and struck the other head-on. At this time, it is unclear what caused the driver to veer out of their lane.

One driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity remains unknown.

The other driver was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Their identity and condition are also unknown.

Prince George’s County County Police continue to investigate the fatal collision.
