News: One killed, two injured in head-on collision in Greenbelt

GREENBELT, MD – One person died and two others suffered injuries after a head-on collision in Greenbelt Friday morning.

According to ABC 7, the fatal accident took place on Greenbelt Road near Lakecrest Drive around 7:40 AM on June 10th. 

An eastbound vehicle reportedly crossed over the centerline into the westbound lanes and struck the victim’s car head-on. 

The victim, who had been driving the car, suffered critical injuries and died shortly after arriving at the hospital. They have been identified as 52-year-old Manuel Juarez.

A passenger in Juarez’s car and the driver of the other vehicle both suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The Greenbelt Police Department continues to investigate the wrong-way accident.
