SILVER SPRING, MD – Updates have been provided regarding Monday’s fiery crash in Downtown Silver Spring.
Our newsroom learned that the collision happened before 2:45 p.m., WTOP revealed. Two people were involved in a robbery and kept driving away with police behind. Eventually, the car, with the two individuals inside, collided with a bus.

One man was pinned and extricated by fire crews, and two men were booked into custody.
US-29, Georgia Avenue, and the westbound lanes of East-West Highway will be closed until further notice.
