WASHINGTON, DC – One person was rescued from a stranded vehicle during a flash flood in Northeast DC Wednesday evening.
According to DC Fire and EMS, the incident occurred in the 600 block of Rhode Island Avenue NE around 6:00 PM on August 10th.
The vehicle was stranded due to high water and the driver was forced to climb onto the roof of their car. DC Fire and EMS were able to rescue the single occupant of the vehicle and provide medical treatment at the scene.
Metro Police continue to investigate the flash flooding accident.
